PHINMA COC wraps up Welcome Week 2026 with the Freshmen Welcome Party

CAGAYAN DE ORO — Every fun-filled adventure ends with a bang as PHINMA-Cagayan de Oro College officially sent off its Welcome Week Celebration with an Awarding Ceremony, the Giving of Certificates, and an After Rave Party held at the MS Quadrangle on July 11, 2026.The event began with a high-energy performance by the Sentrong COCian Dance Company (SCDC), together with the PHINMA COC Performing Arts (PCPA).

This was followed by a Uniform Showcase featuring the secondary and college uniforms.The first set of awards recognized the winners of the Banner Making Competition. The Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants was hailed as the champion in the Recognized Student Organization (RSO) category, while the Department of Architecture Student Body Organization emerged victorious in the Student Body Organization (SBO) category.The Giving of Certificates of Renewal for both SBO and RSO followed, with 40 organizations receiving recognition from the PHINMA-COC Center for Student Development and Leadership.

One of the most anticipated moments of the program was the announcement of the winners of the "Battle of the Orgs: A Rio Dance Showdown." The College of Management and Accountancy was crowned champion and best in costume of the day's highlight event after delivering an outstanding performance.The celebration concluded with a surprise confetti shower and an electrifying After Rave Party featuring DJ Dave. It was truly a memorable send-off to the first week of classes, giving both new and returning students an exciting opportunity to celebrate before embarking on another week filled with new challenges and opportunities.
